The striped bark scorpion is Austin Hill Country signature pest. They live in walls, hide in shoes, and sting at night. Our scorpion program is the most thorough in Central Texas. We start with a daytime perimeter inspection, then return at night with UV blacklights to map active travel paths under fluorescence. Treatment is a three-step process: residual perimeter spray, void dust application in wall cavities and weep holes, and physical exclusion (sealing) of every gap larger than 1/16 inch. We finish with a granular yard treatment to kill the crickets and other prey scorpions feed on.
